Become an advocate

Promise to Remember Me Campaign
The 2009-2010 Promise to Remember Me Campaign will be focused on both of these priorities. JDRF advocates will be scheduling meetings with their Members of Congress to:
  • Ask them to co-sponsor legislation to, once again, extend the Special Diabetes Program and avoid a 35% reduction in federal funding for type 1 research; and

  • Make sure that the needs of those with diabetes are included in legislation to reform America’s healthcare system, including providing access to quality and affordable coverage without exclusions or penalties for pre-existing conditions.

The goal of the Promise Campaign is to communicate this message through personal meetings with Members of Congress when they’re at home. We need your help TODAY!
Our goal for this Promise Campaign is to organize 400 in-district meetings. Sign-up to attend a meeting in your community by visiting our website or by texting ‘PROMISE’ to 56333.

Use your wireless phone to stay connected to JDRF!

Stem Cell Legislation

For more information on Stem Cell Research, please visit our National website.

JDRF Kids Advocacy Network (KAN)
KAN is an online community of kids and teens who want to make their voices heard on important diabetes issues and who are reaching out to their friends, family, and communities to get others involved.  KAN members are real volunteer leaders: they are always in the know, they are the first to respond to a call to action, and they know that being a kid is a big advantage when it comes to making a difference for diabetes research.
