Bob Laskey

Bob Laskey is the General Manager for Microsoft’s Developer & Platform Evangelism (DPE) organization. He is responsible for leading a team of Technology Evangelists, Marketers and Solution Specialists distributed throughout the U.S. Central Region. His team works with software developers, designers and IT professionals – from student to start-up to global enterprise – inspiring and enabling them to bring their own innovations to market. Bob’s team plays key roles in driving awareness, excitement and adoption of products including Windows, Windows Phone, Windows Azure, Visual Studio and Internet Explorer and in areas spanning PC, slate, mobile, web and cloud.

Laskey joined Microsoft in 1998 and has held various enterprise sales, consulting and evangelism roles in Austin, TX and Chicago, IL during his 13 year tenure. Prior to his current role, Bob led US-wide enterprise sales initiatives, managed global customer relationships and opened and directed a Microsoft Technology Center. Before joining Microsoft, Laskey held application development consulting roles at Oracle Corporation and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).

Bob holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a passionate supporter of and advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation serving on their Illinois Board of Directors and chairing their Outreach Committee.
