The Diabetes Support Group, sponsored by KSB’s Center for Diabetes Management, meets monthly in the KSB Hospital Private Dining Room (403 East First Street in Dixon, IL). Meetings alternate times and dates, and are held either the second Monday evening of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. or the second Wednesday of the month from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Sessions feature a specific topic and guest speaker(s). Rockford Area:
Join the parents support group and share your trials and tribulations with other parents of children with type 1 diabetes. We will meet the 3rd Thursday of every month as an opportunity to connect with each other, share experiences, and offer support to each other as we strive to live life fully while helping our children maintain their health and happiness with the hope that one day there will be a cure.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6:30 – 7:30 PM at the YMCA – Northeast Branch (8451 Orth Road, Loves Park, IL 61111). The meeting will be facilitated by Jan Juric, MSW. For more information, call (815) 494-5969.
