Touched by Type 1 is a group of parents who are dedicated to helping each other via email, monthly dinners, smaller interest group coffees and get togethers, and Facebook. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7pm at The Country House (Kirk and Fayban Pkwy in Geneva). Tweens & Teens Take Control – Oak Park, IL
Join us! This group provides active fun for ages 8-18 with type 1 diabetes and discussion for parents. Parents of younger kids are encouraged to attend. The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:45-8:30 PM. The gatherings are held at the West Cook YMCA (255 S. Marion St. in Oak Park, IL). The meetings are free and open to the public, but please RSVP before attending to gilmorefamily2@comcast.net.
